Joint Management Board
This page provides information about the Joint Management Board and the decisions it makes. The Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) publishes decisions of significant public interest about policing, crime and community safety in Cheshire.
What the Joint Management Board (JMB) does
The Joint Management Board supports decision-making and oversight.
It brings together the PCC and the Chief Constable to make decisions about:
- long-term plans and priorities
- policies and strategy
- the use of resources
- issues that may affect performance or reputation
The Board usually meets monthly, when needed.

Management Decisions
In addition to decisions that are taken by the Police and Crime Commissioner at Joint Management Board meetings, the Commissioner may also take management decisions outside of such meetings.
Management decisions are those decisions within existing budget, strategy or policy and will be made by the Police and Crime Commissioner as appropriate.
