Subject Access Requests

Under the Data Protection Act 2018 you have the right to a copy of the information that is held about you. This is known as a subject access request (SAR).

Please note that the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner is a separate organisation to Cheshire Constabulary and as such we do not hold information regarding criminal records.

How do I make a Subject Access Request?

To make a subject access request please write to us at the address above. For us to be able to process your request we will need proof of identity. Alternately please send an email (opens email application) marked Subject Access Request.

Any correspondence relating to Data Protection issues should be addressed to the Commissioner’s Data Protection Officer. You can send them to pcc@cheshire-pcc.gov.uk (opens email application) or call 01606 364000.
