COMMISSIONER WELCOMES JOINT INITIATIVE BETWEEN POLICE AND FIRE SERVICES FOR HALLOWE'EN AND BONFIRE NIGHT

Posted on Tuesday 25th October

Police & Crime Commissioner David Keane has welcomed partnership working between the county’s police and fire services aimed at ensuring everyone has a safe and enjoyable Hallowe’en and Bonfire Night.

Commenting on the joint initiative David said: “As emergency services it is only right that police and fire work together and use their unique expertise to keep our communities safe. The next couple of weeks should be a great time for everyone in our communities to enjoy.”

“Unfortunately a minority of people take advantage of this time of year to commit anti-social and criminal behaviour which means that for the Constabulary and fire service it is one of the business times of the year”

“I would urge everyone to act responsibility, take the advice from the policing and fire professionals and most of all have a safe, enjoyable and spooky time!”

More information about the work of the Constabulary alongside Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service can be found on both the Constabulary and Cheshire Fire Service websites alongside 'Trick or Treaters Welcome' or 'No Trick or Treaters Please' posters which are available to download and information on how to have a safe Bonfire Night.

I would urge everyone to act responsibility, take the advice from the policing and fire professionals and most of all have a safe, enjoyable and spooky time!
