48 more officers in neighbourhood policing and on our streets

More police officers will be in Cheshire's communities, as a result of the neighbourhood policing grant announced by the Home Office.

At the end of January, it was announced that Cheshire would receive £3m to help boost neighbourhood policing numbers.

Dan Price, Police and Crime Commissioner said:

“When I stood for election last May, I did so promising more police. The public told me time and time again that the lack of visible policing was a real issue for them. With this announcement, I’m pleased to have begun delivering against that promise, and to have done so within my first year in office”

“Additionally, I’ve been reassured that the Constabulary is taking neighbourhood policing seriously with the recent creation of a new Assistant Chief Constable leading neighbourhood policing.”
