JOIN THE CONVERSATION

Wednesday 15th June

I am delighted to welcome you to my first blog as Police & Crime Commissioner for Cheshire.

The first thing to say is how immensely proud I am to be able to represent the Cheshire public in this vital role, and I would like to thank everyone from within and outside of the police family who have been so supportive during my first few weeks in office.

One of the cornerstones of my campaign for election was a commitment to talk with, listen and represent everyone across Cheshire. My monthly blog is just one way I will do this. I will use it to update you on my plans and priorities across policing and crime and discuss emerging issues affecting all of us on a day to day, week by week basis.

Whilst campaigning I spoke to people across Cheshire about my priorities and I received a great level of support. However, I am acutely aware that I will not have spoken to nearly all of you. Therefore I have made the decision, that before drafting my Police & Crime Plan which will set out priorities over the next four years, to launch a six week Cheshire-wide consultation to identify your priorities.

This starts today!

Commissioner with police in community 01

This is your opportunity to tell me what you think and influence the future of your police service and criminal justice system. There is an online survey and I will be undertaking a range of events across Cheshire so I can meet the public to hear what you think the future should look like.

I want to have a conversation and listen, so please fill in the survey or come along to one of the consultation events; let me know your thoughts and join the conversation – I’m interested and want to know what you think.
